Christmas training sessions

Hello swimmers,

Christmas is fast approaching with the last 'normal' swimming session being this Sunday (16th December). We have the fun gala on Tuesday, however after this, for many, it is the last swimming of a fantastic 2007 season for Bramcote.

However! Me and Jackie (Jackie mainly) have secured some pooltime at Bramcote over the Christmas period to keep A squad (and Nova if you would like to come) fit! The following sessions are available:

Sunday 23rd December 2007 from 6-7pm
Sunday 30th December 2007 from 4-5pm

We do not have all 6 lanes on each of these sessions however and as such places are limited. If you would like to go please put your name down on the form which will appear as of the Thursday session. It will be done on a first come first place basis, so please, if you do put your name down, ensure you can make the session. Nova swimmers, if you would like to go then please email me back and I will add your name to the list.

If I don't speak to you beforehand (for most of you this is not the case!!), have a wonderful Christmas and see you all in the new year,

Best regards,

Tom

County Championships 2008

These swims take place from February through to March. Swimmers have to be 9 by the last event. Swims take place at Beachdale and Watermeadows in Mansfield. Swimmers throughout the county can enter events and swim for a position in their age group in the county.

Points are taken from their best 50 metrre swim, 200 metre swim and either 200 or 100 IM. These points are called BAGCAT points and when calculated will show your position within your age group in the county. Swimmers are also chose for either County Squad or Nova Deveopment Squad from these points.

Forms wil be given out next wek and only swimmers who can make the qualifying times can enter. If you are given a form please take up this opportunity. I would expect all my fast track swimmers, if chosen, to compete.
