6:30pm on both nights, regardless of what time your sessions normally start
WHAT ARE THEY FOR?
Badge galas are a great opportunity for swimmers to take part in a judged competition where awards can be won for achieving certain times (see below) and where new personal bests can be set.
In addition to this, they let the coaches see how the swimmers are improving and offers a change to normal training sessions.

Radford Open Meet - 2nd May
The date of our Open Meet at Ponds Forge is Saturday and Sunday 2nd and 3rd May.
It is now a level 2, instead of level 1 meet, with BAGCAT only age groups.

Nottinghamshire County Championships Day 1 and Day 2
Bramcote swimmers turned out in force this weekend for the first two days of the Nottinghamshire County Championships and were in dominating form.
Numerous titles have been collected, dozens of PBs have been smashed, and the black and red army swarmed poolside with their team spirit and unity throughout the weekend.
Notable highlights included:
Natasha Hofton – 1st 400 IM, 1st 50 Free, 1st 100 Free, 2nd 100 Backstroke, 2nd 50 Backstroke, 4th 200 Freestyle, 4th 200 IM.
Luke Howdle – 1st 50 Breastroke (14 years), 3rd 200 Breastroke, 5th 100 Breastroke, 4th 400 IM
Oliver Cooper – Currently 1st in BAGCATS (10 years)
Thomas Howdle – Currently 2nd in BAGCATS (11 years), 3rd 200 Free (11 years)
Rebecca Patrick – 1st 200 Breastroke (14 years)
Megan Walters – 5th 100 Backstroke (15 years), 3rd 100 Butterfly (15 years)
Shannon McDermott – 5th 200 Freestyle (14 years), 6th 100 Freestyle (14 years)
Sharntay Saunders – 4th 100 Butterfly (13 years)
Leon Jelley – 6th 50 Breastroke (10 years)
Olivia Stafford – 6th 50 Freestyle (9 years)
Ashley Locke – 5th 50 Breastroke (12 years)
Harry James – 4th 50 Breastroke (13 years)
Cala Thornton, Courtney Tissington, Ella Roebuck-Swain, Danielle Spencer, Olivia Duckworth and Luke Thornton who all followed an intensive program of swims this weekend, participating in almost every session deserve a special mention. They all recorded Personal Best times throughout both days and this is a deserved reflection on the hard work they have been putting in to training.
The following swimmers also participated in the County Championships this weekend, swimming fantastic and recording many Personal Bests:
Daniel Wilson, Luis Croft, George James, Oliver Sharratt, D’Zyia Edwards, Tamara Harris, Lewis Bull, Dominic Abbiss, William Foster, Megan Bradbury, Amy Warren, Eleanor Gladman, Louisa Patrick, Anja Weaver, Elizabeth Pennington, Amy Taylor, Heather Mitchell, Mattia Bieler, Matthew Harris, Jack Wickham, Lucy Preston, Ciara Tighe, Olivia Dadge, Anna Thornton, Eloise De Sousa, Jasmine Hicks, James Martin, Robin Biswas, Liam Tighe, Francesco Pitrolino, Stephen Campbell, Matt Glover, Sam Morley.
The next day of the Championships are on the 28th February, with a memorable two days under our belt already, the bar has now been set in terms of expected performances!
